Allana was born five weeks early because she had gastroschisi. So as you can see her intestine was outside her body because the skin on her stomach didn't close all the way when she was developing. She was born c-section and went right into surgery to get it back in. She was put on paralise for four days and they surgery was completed the third day and we got to hold for the first time when she was five days old. Everything really good and she healed really fast. She won't have anymore problems from now on she is a normal healthy baby!
These pictures might not be for everyone. But it is amazing what they did for our little girly and I would be curious what it all looked like if I wasn't there. She is doing great since we got her home and won't have any problems with her tummy anymore. They still don't know why this happens to babies but it happens more and more often now.
